Sleep-writing
OK, so I tried the notebook-and-pen-beside-the-bed thing, and here is my first entry. I was surprised to be able to read it, since it was 3AM, I was half-asleep, and didn't even turn on the light.
Still working on the interpretation..... but you're welcome to give it a try.

The freshest of all virtues is humility.
Perhaps also the most refreshing of virtues. Least likely to be seen today. If I pick for myself a large bouquet then I have enough for myself and some extra to hand out to others.

You can still care for yourself without thinking to highly of yourself. ;-)

I was in my daughters room cleaning earlier and picked up a book, "Grace". I read a few pages and put it on the bookshelf, not giving it another thought until I read your post today. One of the pages I read fit your bouquet thought:
Be good to yourself,
excellent to others
and do everything in love
~John Wolfe
Shouldn't we first be nice to ourselves in order to prepare us to love others?

My first impression (of humility being the freshest of virtues) was that it is one of the least "used" virtues, thus it is abundant and readily available. So, I was being encouraged to pick a large bouquet of it, since it is fresh and yes, refreshing. It seems like a paradox: to adorn yourself with humility. But it makes more sense the more I think about it. I think you all have touched on an aspect of what this "dream" means to me. Thank you for your comments.

Humility is one of the most beautiful traits--and rare and fresh these days.
