SisterDay

We hadn't been together since just after Christmas, and our last official "SisterDay" was in July 2005. So we were overdue for this one at MaryM's house yesterday. It was a good opportunity to see where MaryM will be starting her second year of teaching high schoolers with special needs. It happened again.
When we go somewhere together and are introduced as sisters,
almost always someone,
almost always a male,
asks, "Who's the oldest?".
We invariably answer in unison, "Guess!"
Almost always, they're wrong.
Again, he was wrong.
But, one of us told him he was right.
We brunched and lunched...
...and walked and talked...
...and cooled our heels.
From now on, we're claiming to be triplets.

so who IS the oldest. i'd guess but i don't want to offend anyone.

and i immediately noticed you all have on the same necklace. how cute. you girls are cute. i wish it could be so with my two older sisters. theres no mistaken whose oldest among us. or rather whose youngest. i think it has something to do with how i act? but then again, we're never all in one place at the same time but today we will be at my middles sisters sons wedding. and i'll take a pic of all three of us to post. and then you all can guess

My laugh of the day was the "Who's the odest?" story. Probably MM told him he was right. Am I right? or (oops) out of order?!!

I am having vicarious enjoyment of your sisters day. I have no sisters (poor me), and only one brother who lives 2500 miles away and is a hermit. But, my four 'sisters' from church, our bi-monthly (that does mean twice a month, doesn't it?) study group, were here this morning. We have been together two full years, and will begin our third next month. There are five of us, and we have a lot of fun together. So, in lieu of a real sister, they'll do.

I think you are twins. I can't remember much.
Who is the kids in Cedar Rapids mom? I can't remember her name, but I met the young lady [not the owner] who moved there recently. She was very nice.
All is written in the past tense, so I take the reunion is over. We can tell it was nice.
BTW, who of you three is the youngest?

I am glad y'all had a great day. I can't begin to imagine what it's like, being an only child. I can imagine however, y'all getting weary of that question, but then hey...no one can tell who is the oldest or the youngest! I buy the triplets-thing :-)

    God's Grace.

You must be the pretty one. Right?

I guessed twins. That answered your question. You didn't say I was correct or wrong? You just said 'guess'.
    Maybe I wasn't thorough enough?
I know in the top picture you're on the right, MaryM is on the left, and 'Little Sister' is in the middle.
I always answer you nicely and politely, watch out next time, my answer just might be 'guess.'
Or was I correct and the 'guess' was which one is Hannah and Liz's mom?
    ..
I still think they are nice pictures, you have nice sisters, and am glad you all had a good get-to-gether.

    OK, Jim, that's enough guessing.
Paula is Liz's and Hannah's mother of Clay City Sandwiches fame: clay city sandwiches
She's in the middle in the top picture, and she's just a little older than I... but we aren't twins.
You're quite polite, and diplomatic, too.
    :-)

P.s. And MaryM is just a bit older than Paula.
That's why we're claiming to be triplets from now on. It's easier that way.

I might be sorry I spoiled your guessing game. It won't hurt my feelings if you delete all those of mine and your last answers.
For the sake of the game. And for more guessing fun.

Britmum tagged me. At first I wasn't going to do it, but changed my mind and did it today.
Now I have to tag YOU.
