On Ice

These are the times that try Mom's soul...

Being "stuck" in the house with four little ones is not the easiest thing for Karina, especially in weather like this. Even with toys, games, and books in abundance, Reiley must have been bored yesterday, as he came up with this quote (which has been written in his "cute quotes" notebook), "Let's do something to keep me busy!"

That scenery of yours is really pretty with all that ice. I hope you still have power.
We were in Nebraska last week and didn't see any ice, but we did have about six inches of lovely snow. Maybe there is ice today?
Stay warm and by all means keep those kids 'busy.'

BTW, last week I had several posts about Nebraska. (On Jim's Little blog)

That is such a cute quote!
Being that there's a Cute Quotes Notebook, he must have lots of cute things to say.
Ice is sure pretty, but it's dangerous too.
I hope we avoid any ice storms.
So far, so good, but my hubby's family in the St. Louis area is dealing with the ice too.
    Stay warm!!

Wow! You have a lot of ice! Remembering getting stuck in the house when the kids were young during major snow storms - you're right it wasn't easy.

looks like what happened here this January!

Hopefully Karina is very resourceful and has LOTS of videos to watch, games to play and plenty of groceries!

Poor Karina, I hope she survived it.
Although I can imagine all that ice might be a hinderance, it made for some lovely pictures!

I like the idea of a cute quote notebook. As soon as our little critter comes up with one, I may start one as well. So far he says, Dadda, bubba and mamma and the last only when he doesn't get his way, haha.

    Have a very blessed weekend.

    God's Grace.

Cold here, too. I have taken a ka-jillion pictures.

Hope your Christmas season is going well. Tomorrow our church is meeting in a convention center so that we can host several families that have special needs this season (unemployed, under-employed, expensive illness in the family, and the like.)

Just between the two of us, we have recently started attending this church. Wesleyan. This little church has an enormous ministry to the "poor." We like it.

Think peel-off sticker books for the kid. Keeps 'em busy with no mess to clean up afterward and they don't get to touch a crayon or paint brush.

Here in Jacksonville the temperature's been in the 80s all week, but we're expecting a cold snap Sunday night; it may go down to 60. Burrr.
