Luke Steps Up

Reiley started pre-school this week; just a couple of hours two mornings a week. Yesterday, I had three little visitors while Karina dropped him off at school and got some grocery shopping done.
By the way, have you given much thought to a trip to the grocery store with four children, age 3 and under? It's quite a trip! Actually, going anywhere with four children, age 3 and under, constitutes a circus parade. Karina would like to have a dollar for every time she's heard, "You really have your hands full". She'd probably have enough money to buy diapers until these kids are potty trained. But that's another subject.Luke has taken over as the great entertainer, furniture re-arranger, and all-around "never leave things in one place too long" kind of guy.

With Reiley away at pre-school, Luke talked my leg off all morning. It must have something to do with finally being able to get a word in edgewise.
(My mom says she discovered I could talk when my sister left for college. I was a senior in high school.)

Nice pictures. When they go off to pre-school, it seems to be the beginning of growing up.

I taught nursery school for 7 years and just loved it. Those little ones are so entertaining. And such quick learners.

    Enjoy.

hmmm...let's see...you have 2 sisters... i wonder which one went off to college when you were a sr. in h.s. leaving you space to get a word in edgewise...
judging by your blogging ability it doesn't seem you've had too much trouble communicating since!

It's good that Luke was able to chatter away to his heart's content.
I've gotten spoiled now with my kids grown up. Going to the store is a piece of cake compared to when they were babies. Trying to do that with four little ones must have been crazy!! And fun too!!!!

I saw the pics of your son's wedding from five years ago, I think it said, over at paul's hat blog.
    Very classy photos!!!
    You all look really great!!!!!

I'm glad to see Grampa Monte's rocker being used.
That last sentence (in parentheses) was my laugh of the day!

I have never given it much thought, but it must be quite a trip.

Got a good laugh from that "never leave things in one place too long kind of guy" statement.
