On Ice

These are the times that try Mom's soul...

Being "stuck" in the house with four little ones is not the easiest thing for Karina, especially in weather like this. Even with toys, games, and books in abundance, Reiley must have been bored yesterday, as he came up with this quote (which has been written in his "cute quotes" notebook), "Let's do something to keep me busy!"

Santa's Little Helpers

We have the best helpers! Reiley was here on Saturday, engineering our decorating for Christmas. We had a setback with power outages throughout the weekend..... SO...

.... bright and early this morning, he returned with his work crew (a.k.a. Luke) to finish the job.
They are very careful and thorough.

Everything is placed perfectly.
With this team's great eye for detail, we are all decked out for Christmas.
Thanks, Boys.

Full Time RN

After almost a year of part time jobs, I've finally been able to consolidate all my energies with one employer. This is a huge change for me; the last time I worked in a hospital was in 1976. Do you suppose a few things have changed in the past 31 years? Well... yes.
Fortunately, the fundamentals of nursing don't change. I merely have to catch up on a few technological advances. Also fortunately, I am receiving great orientation with extremely helpful preceptors. I am very encouraged about this new experience.
As I look back on the past year and consider all the changes that have come into my life, I am so grateful to God and stand in awe of His faithfulness, love, and perfect timing.
